BRUNEI’S NATIONAL DISASTER MANAGEMENT CENTRE DIRECTOR CALLS ON PH EMBASSY

Philippine Embassy Chargé d’Affaires (CDA) Pete Raymond V. Delfin met with Brunei’s National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) Director Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Haji Maiddin bin Pengiran Haji Said (Pengiran Haji Maiddin) during the latter’s courtesy call at the Embassy on 22 January 2019. He was joined by Disaster Management Officers Abdul Mu’ein bin Haji Adi Marhain and Akmal Zakhwan bin Haji Aji during the meeting.

Pengiran Haji Maiddin called on CDA Delfin to discuss bilateral cooperation between the Philippines and Brunei Darussalam in the area of disaster management as well as capacity building in disaster-related exercises and seminars.

Embassy personnel who were also present during the meeting included Defense and Armed Forces Attaché Col. Jose Ricky A. Laniog, Assistant Frederick A. Rili, and Assistant Anthony L. Acosta.

CDA Delfin welcomed and expressed his appreciation to Pengiran Haji Maiddin for their fruitful exchange regarding Philippines-Brunei cooperation on disaster management.

Prior to taking up his current post in May 2017, Pengiran Haji Maiddin served as a Commandant at the Defence Academy of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). He also served as the RBAF Defence Attaché at the Embassy of Brunei Darussalam to the Republic of the Philippines from 2007 to 2010. END
