Gusto ko po sanang e-sponsor ang kapatid ko na nasa Pilipinas, ano po ba ang mga dokumento na dapat kung ihanda? Salamat po... Nalyn of Tutong
Miss Nalyn: Good afternoon. Doon sa issue ng sponsorship, we ask OFWs to secure the following: 1. Secure a Statutory Declaration from the Brunei Magistrate. This will cost around B$7. 2. Have the Statutory Declaration authenticated in the Philippine Embassy. This will cost around B$57.50. The person can also secure an Affidavit of Support and Consent from the Philippine Embassy, in place of a Statutory Declaration. Then he can have it authenticated. Unfortunately, having the two documents appears to be no guarantee that Philippine immigration officials will allow the person to board the plane. The BI has thus far failed to reply to the Embassy regarding our requested clarification on why they are off-loading Filipino tourists bound for Brunei Darussalam despite these tourists having the abovementioned documents. Miss Nalyn reply: "nayku! eh di wla din plang assurance ang pagpasok ng pinoy d2 khit maka-comply sa requirements as tourist...p'no kya... mmmmm...take the risk nlang...God will make a way...'un ang sure, hehe...korek db sir?" Consul: Unfortunately, that is the present situation. Nasa discretion ng mga Philippine immigration officials kung payagan siyang maka-board ng plane.
